High
Mountain expedition at 5.424 mts. with the ascent to the
emblematic hill, which was the scene of Inca rituals, known
since the discovery of the mummy of a Inca child in 1954,
which was buried there in an ice chamber for more than 500
years.
Level

It requires good physical condition and capacity to bear
sustained physical efforts. Normally it requires also a
basic training in certain disciplines or field activities.

1st
day: Santiago - Piedra Numerada
9:00 a.m.. Pick up and transfer of passengers from the hotel
in Santiago to the La Parva Ski Center. Distance: 40 Km.
We will begin with a smooth trekking to the Piuquenes Lagoon,
at the end of the ski lift at 3.400 mts.. Then we arrive
at our camp 1 Piedra Numerada at 3.350 masl, which will
be already set up by Cumbre Andina guides team.
Trekking
Time: 2 hours.
2nd
day: Trekking Camp 1 - Camp 2
Trekking
from Camp 1 Piedra Numerada to Camp 2 in the La Olla sector.
Trekking
Time: 3 hours
During
the evening we will do an acclimatization by approaching
the imposing Iver glacier at 4.200 masl. ( 30 minutes)
3rd
day: Ascent of the summit
04:30
a.m. Early, we will begin the summit attempt. Just a few
meters away from the summit we will find the little cave
where the Inca child was discovered.
We will reach the summit at 12:30 - 13:00 hrs. Returning
to Camp and celebration.
Ascent
Time: 7 hours.
4th
day:Return to Santiago
Trekking back to our vehicle, return to Santiago.
Arrival at Santiago: 17:00 p.m

Every meal: dinner, breakfast, box lunch ( fruits, nuts,
nutritive cakes)
Guides and Cook
Accommodation in mountain tents for 2 passengers.
Dinning tent with table and seats.
Mules usage for heavier equipment. Each passenger must carry
his backpackage with all the necessary equipment for expedition:
water, wind top, polar, sunglasses, gloves, cap, solar filters,
and camera, sleeping-bag
