The
Leonera,
at 16,240 ft. is one of the highest summits near to Santiago,
which allows us to make an ascent to the mythical five thousands.
Departures
:
November to March
Level : It requires good physical
condition and capacity to bear sustained physical efforts.
Normally it requires also a basic training in certain disciplines
or field activities.
1st day Santiago - La Parva
8:30
a.m.Pick up and transfer of passengers from the hotel in
Santiago La Parva Ski Center. Distance: 40 Km.
We will begin with a smooth trekking to the Piuquenes Lagoon,
at the end of the ski lift at 3.400 mts. We arrive at our
camp 1 which will be already set up by the guides of Cumbre
Andina guides.
Trekking
Time: 2 hours.
2nd
day Camp 1
Early
in the morning we will go for the summit, where we will
have an impressive view of the Iver Glacier.
Ascent
and descent time: 7 hours.
After
reaching the camp, we will rest. Then we´ll start
our journey back to our vehicle and we´ll return to
Santiago.
Arrival at Santiago at 21:00 hrs.

Accommodation in mountain tents for 2 passengers.
Dinning tent with table and seats.
Mules usage for heavier equipment. Each passenger must carry
his backpackage with all the necessary equipment for expedition:
water, wind top, polar, sunglasses, gloves, cap, solar filters,
and camera, sleeping-bag
