This
volcano is the highest mountain in the Metropolitan Region.
At 6.570 mts of elevation the Tupungato
volcano has all you, that you dream of. Lakes and lagoons
surrounded by big mountains and rivers with wide plains,
all this will create in your mind a unforgettable experience.
This big volcano is located near the argentinean frontier,
almost 85 kilometer northeast of Santiago's city and can
easily be seen from many summits of the central region
above 13,120 feet.
On our travel we will have several days to acclimatize.
We will travel by wonderful places and take photographs
(We will enjoy beautiful sights along trip, its lagoons,
river crossing, big rock walls, penitent and particular
flora).
Participants must be in excellent physical condition,
have previous mountaineering experience. Although Tupungato
is not a technical climb, sometimes is very cold, reaching
temperatures between -20ºC to -30ºC above 19,680
feet and to get to the summit requires psychological effort
and physiological capacity.
Level : Very high. Excellent
physical condition. It requires knowledge and experience
in the programmed activities disciplines, disposition
and capacity to deal with risks on the field. and Prior
medical authorization needed.
