Exploring Glaciers: Iver Glacier
(3 days / 2 noches)
This is an attractive trekking in La Parva Ski Center zone. The start point of our walk will be the Portezuelo San Francisco, where we can watch the Piuquenes lagoon. The zone is surrounded by high hills, being the most important the Plomo Hill with its 5.424 masl which dominates a big part of the cordilleran landscape.

Distance from Santiago : 40 Km.
Departures : December to April
Level : It requires good physical condition and disposition to make efforts on the field.

1st day Santiago - La Parva

8:30 a.m. Pick up and transfer of passengers from the hotel in Santiago to La Parva Ski Center, Metropolitan Region.
We will travel by vehicle to the Portezuelo San Francisco, La Parva sector. From here we will admire the Piuquenes Andean lagoon. We will walk through an Andean zone until we reach the Piedra Numerada (3370 masl.), a place where we will settle our camp.
Trekking Time: 2 hours

2nd day Iver Glacier

Visit to the Iver Glacier, where we can also see the hanging glacier in its totality. We will have the possibility to walk through the glacier and appreciate the big El Plomo hill.

Round Trekking Time: 5 hours

3rd day Return to Santiago

Rest and return to Santiago.
Arrival at 5PM

Every meal: dinner, breakfast, box lunch (fruits, sandwiches, juice, etc.)
Guides, cook and full kitchen equipment.
Accommodation in mountain tents for 2 passengers.
Dining tent with table and seats.
Mules usage for heavier equipment. Each passenger must carry a little bag with all the necessary equipment for one day: water, wind top, polar, sunglasses, gloves, cap, solar filters, and camera.
