The
La Paloma Glacier
is located in the "Yerba Loca Natural Sanctuary",
which is a protected area of more than 39.000 ha. This sanctuary
possesses a special cultural relevance, because its valley
and the surrounding mountains give evidence of human presence
of several millenniums.
It has been found archeological objects and places of pre
Hispanic cultures such as: Chiquillanes, Picunches and Incas.
