Located
in the pre cordilleran sector of the Cajón
del Maipo, which is a center of adventure sport activities,
the San José Volcano
with its 5.860 masl. represents a majestic mountain that
you can see all the time during our trekking.
We will walk through andean and volcanic zone to get to
the little but comfortable Plantat Shelter, built in 1937.
This will be our base camp.

condition and disposition to make efforts on the field.
1st
day Santiago - Plantat Shelter
8:30AM Pick up and transfer of passengers from the hotel
in Santiago the Cajón del Maipo sector, Metropolitan
Region.
Trekking to Plantat Shelter (bath and shower not available).
We will cross the Engorda Valley

Time : 4 hours
2nd
day "Piedras lajas" sector
During
the morning we will walk towards the San José Volcano,
reaching the 4000 masl. We will cover the "piedras
lajas" sector.
Trekking
time : 4 hours
During
the evening we will make a short ascent of 45 minutes to
the San Josecito Volcano, 3.240 masl, which is an excellent
Andean viewpoint from where we can enjoy the sunset.
3rd
day Return to Santiago
Free
morning to rest and take the last pictures. Return to Santiago.
Arrival
to Santiago at 7:00 p.m.
Included:
Transfer Santiago / Puente Colina (vice versa)
Every meal: dinner, breakfast, box lunch (fruits, peanuts,
raisins, etc.)
Guides cook and full kitchen equipment.
Accommodation in mountain tents for 2 passengers.
Dining tend with table and seats.
Mules usage for heavier equipment. Each passenger must carry
a little bag with all the necessary equipment for one day:
water, wind top, polar, sunglasses, gloves, cap, solar filters,
and camera.
